Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard elevated the selfie game to a new level Wednesday, snapping a photo with none other than Pope Francis during a Women’s Tennis Association stop in Rome.

The 20-year-old Quebec native — who entered the week ranked No. 18 in the world — has been in the news fairly often this year, but usually not for her play on the court. Before her Pope selfie, Bouchard made headlines in January when a reporter asked her the bizarre post-match question of who her dream date would be.
Her answer? Justin Bieber.
Bouchard didn’t fare so well at this week’s Italian Open, falling in straight sets to local favorite Francesca Schiavone on Monday.
