“We had such a great car on the long run today,” said Bayne after the race.  “After about 25 laps our car would just come to life. Unfortunately, the cautions didn’t fall our way there at the end but I just want to thank Chad and all the guys on this No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Mustang for working hard all weekend. We’re happy to finish ninth, but we are ready to get back to the track next weekend at home in Charlotte.”

Bayne started the race from the 16th position, but slowly made his way toward the front of the pack. Although a loose handling racecar forced him to pit road during a Lap 39 caution for four tires and adjustments, Bayne emerged from the restart by cracking into the top-10 for the first time in the race.

Bayne hung inside the top-10 for the majority of the second-half of the race, and despite a late restart, he managed to hang on for the ninth-place finish.
