Will Middlebrooks’ Clutch Hitting Gets Red Sox Back To .500 (Video)

After sweeping the Cincinnati Reds at Fenway Park, the Boston Red Sox are back to .500 for the first time since April 4.

The Red Sox struck late, needing some heroics in the eighth inning to give them their first sweep of the season, but they certainly delivered. After A.J. Pierzynski drilled a ground-rule double down the right field line to tie the game, Will Middlebrooks became the hero, giving Boston the 4-3 lead with an RBI single.

The Red Sox have the day off Thursday before taking on the Rangers in Texas on Friday.
