The Los Angeles Kings are headed to the Stanley Cup Final to face the New York Rangers thanks to a game-winning goal in overtime by Alec Martinez.

Martinez scored 5:47 into the extra session Sunday night, lifting the Kings to a 5-4 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals and capping off an improbable run back to the Cup Final. Martinez’s shot wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, but it deflected off the body of Blackhawks defenseman Nick Leddy and past goaltender Corey Crawford.

The goal stunned the sellout crowd at the United Center as the Kings celebrated on the ice.

The Rangers-Kings Stanley Cup Final matchup begins Wednesday in Los Angeles.
