After Antonio Cromartie was released by the New York Jets in March, many critics wondered if the 30-year-old cornerback had lost a step.

Cromartie would like to personally remind you that that’s not the case.

The speedy defensive back, who signed with the Arizona Cardinals on March 19, has apparently had enough of the critics, as he took to Instagram on Friday to post a video of him training at a local track. According to Cromartie, the training is going well.

“And (people) say I’ve lost a step,” Cromartie wrote in the caption. “Only thing I can do (is) laugh at you all. Ran 4.34 & 4.36 in the 40 today after a workout and I’m only getting faster thanks to @proactivesp and @goldmedalexcellence_chrisasher.”

Cromartie’s self-reported times, of course, are far from official, but the nine-year veteran certainly looks like he’s moving pretty well in the video.

The Cardinals are hoping Cromartie can keep his legs under him this season, as a tandem of the ex-Jet and Pro Bowl corner Patrick Peterson could be a scary thought for opposing offenses.
