Brandon Belt Fulfills Promise For Cancer Survivor By Hitting Home Run

Brandon Belt made a promise, and he came through.

After telling 12-year old cancer survivor Lyndsey Dworkin that he would hit a home run for her, the rehabbing San Francisco Giants first baseman fulfilled his promise and bashed a dinger in the first inning for the Advanced Class-A San Jose Giants on Friday.

The ending of the story is even sweeter.

After officials recovered the ball, Belt signed it with a note and gave it to Dworkin.
