The 6-foot-1, 188-pound Swedish blueliner tweeted out a picture of himself signing his first professional contract on Friday, and the club made the news official just a couple of days later.

Arnesson skated in 44 games for Djurgarden in the Allsvenskan league during the 2013-14 season, recording one goal and five assists with a plus-two rating and 36 penalty minutes.

The 19-year-old was drafted by Boston in the second round (60th overall) of the 2013 NHL entry draft.
