Cardinals Turn Triple Play To Get Out Of Bases-Loaded Jam (Video)

With nobody out, the bases loaded and Toronto Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista at the plate, you can bet the St. Louis Cardinals were not in a happy place.

Things quickly changed, however, when Bautista lined out to second baseman Daniel Descalso to start an old fashioned 4-6-3 triple play on Friday night.

Take a look at the play that kept the Cardinals’ deficit at one run below, and note the ninja-like reactions from the umpire, who just barely got out of the way of the scorching line drive.
