The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Andrew Wiggins with the No. 1 overall pick in Thursday’s NBA draft, then introduced the former Kansas star in a news conference the next day.

Unfortunately, the introduction didn’t go exactly as planned.

Cavaliers play-by-play announcer Fred McLeod told all in attendance to “say hello to Mitchell Wiggins,” correcting himself moments after as he laughed.

Mitchell Wiggins is a former NBA guard who just so happens to be Andrew’s father, so the mistake is understandable. Andrew Wiggins’ older brother also is named Mitchell, so it’s likely not the first time he has been called by the wrong name, as anyone with siblings would understand.
