Baltimore Orioles slugger Chris Davis must have had a lot of fun with his imaginary friends when he was growing up.

After hitting 53 home runs last season, Davis’ teammates have celebrated his blasts plenty of times, so they decided to sit one out on Wednesday night against the Texas Rangers. During the fifth inning, Davis crushed a solo shot — his eighth home run of the season — but when he got back to the dugout he didn’t have anyone to celebrate with.

The O’s didn’t move a muscle to greet Davis, but luckily his invisible teammates were right there to receive all of his high fives.

Davis might have been unfazed by the gag, but his teammates executed the ol’ silent treatment bit to perfection, with not one player even cracking a smile.
