Team USA got off to a fast start in its 2014 FIFA World Cup opener against Ghana. It was an historically fast start, in fact.

Just 34 seconds into Monday night’s game, Clint Dempsey gave his squad a 1-0 lead as he scored the quickest goal in U.S. World Cup history.

It was an unbelievable start, and one that caused U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinnsman to momentarily lose his mind on the sideline.
