Colombia’s James Rodriguez Draws Attention From Shakira, Sofia Vergara After World Cup Heroics

Things are pretty good for James Rodriguez these days.

The Colombian striker scored both goals in his team’s 2-0 win over Uruguay in the Round of 16 at the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Saturday, becoming the first player since 2002 to score in each of his team’s first four games of the World Cup.

When you play so well, you start attracting the attention of beautiful Colombian women like pop singer Shakira and actress Sofia Vergara.

Rough translation: “We are in the quarters!! James, a huge thank you! The best in the world. Simply spectacular!”

Vergara also chimed in with this tweet, which translates to, “Thanks to my selection (Colombia)!!!!!!”

Not bad, James. Not bad at all.

If he keeps going at this rate, the 22-year old will practically be able to choose who he marries when he goes back to Colombia.
