FOXBORO, Mass. — A star cornerback was conspicuously absent from Day 2 of New England Patriots minicamp.
Darrelle Revis was not spotted on Wednesday during Patriots practice after being a full-go on Tuesday. Wide receivers Aaron Dobson and Wilson Van Hooser, cornerback Alfonzo Dennard and defensive tackles Armond Armstead and Dominique Easley also were absent.
Quarterback Ryan Mallett, wide receivers Jeremy Gallon, Brandon LaFell, Josh Boyce and Matthew Slater, tight ends D.J. Williams and Rob Gronkowski, cornerbacks Justin Green and Travis Hawkins, linebacker Deontae Skinner and guard Logan Mankins were limited in practice. Boyce appeared to bang up his left knee during warmups and didn’t participate in team drills.
Gronkowski showed some progress by sprinting uphill from the New England Revolution practice field up to the Patriots practice field.
