Doc Emrick is one of the best play-by-play announcers in all of sports. His specialty is hockey, of course, but Emrick also has dabbled in sports such as football, basketball and even water polo over the years.
He now can add another sport to arsenal: bubble hockey.
Emrick was at the NHL Awards Show on Tuesday night in Las Vegas to help announce the winner of the EA Sports “NHL 15” cover vote, a game in which he’s featured as the play-by-play man. Emrick also sharpened his skills by calling some bubble hockey games between some of the NHL’s elite players on the red carpet.
Unfortunately the segment didn’t last long, and Emrick wasn’t able to use all 50 of the variations of words he throws out to describe passing the puck.
