United States midfielder Jermaine Jones isn’t worried about taking on Portugal in the 2014 FIFA World Cup because he saw what happened when the San Antonio Spurs faced the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

Jones said that although he considers Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo “a special player,” he believes the U.S. has the better team overall. He compared the U.S. to the Spurs and Portugal to the Heat.

“You can have maybe two or three special players or key players, but if you play it like a team, you’ll be stronger than, like, three or two players,” Jones told the media Thursday.

We’ll find out if Jones’ predictions are true Sunday.
