Jonathan HerreraThe Boston Red Sox will haveĀ one more chance to get their bats going against the Oakland Athletics, but Stephen Drew won’t be in the lineup to do so.

The Sox take on the A’s at 4 p.m. Sunday in the series finale of a four-game set, and Jonathan Herrera will get the call at shortstop and bat seventh in the place of Stephen Drew, who is hitless in his last 16 at-bats.

Xander Bogaerts, meanwhile, is back in the lineup batting second and playing third base after sitting out Saturday’s 2-1 extra-innings loss.

Boston has scored just 15 runs over its last eight games and has scored only six runs through three games so far this series. The Sox will hope to change that against left-handed pitcher Tommy Milone, who allowed six runs in four innings in his last start against Boston on May 3.

Jonny Gomes will start in left field and bat fifth in the place of Daniel Nava, while David Ross will bat eighth and catch for starting pitcher Jon Lester. Lester has won both of his last two starts, allowing just two runs in 14 innings over that span.
