Jonny Gomes was one of the most popular members of the Boston Red Sox’s World Series championship team last season, but his journey to the major leagues was not an easy one.
Gomes recently sat down for an interview with FOX Sports 1 correspondent Amalie Benjamin and spoke of the hardships he’s had to overcome in his life — from financial struggles to serious health issues to childhood tragedy.
