The NBA is full of players who once wore Kobe Bryant jerseys. It just goes to figure that in a league full of people who, presumably, liked basketball as kids, at least a few rocked No. 8 (and later No. 24) Los Angeles Lakers jerseys.
Thanks to the wonders of social media, we now have visual proof.
Julius Randle became a brand-new Laker on Thursday night when the team snatched him with the No. 7 pick in the 2014 NBA draft. Randle, a power forward out of Kentucky, then supplied an Instagram photo of himself wearing a Bryant jersey as a kid.

Now for the part that should make a few of you (not to mention Bryant) feel old: Randle was 1 year old when Bryant was drafted in 1996. And now they are teammates.
