At least Landon Donovan has a sense of humor.
Since being controversially left off the 2014 FIFA World Cup squad, the U.S. soccer great has not just sat around and sulked.
Donovan already has appeared in a commercial for the Los Angeles Galaxy, his Major League Soccer team, since getting the word from USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann that he would not be going to Brazil, and he showcased his acting chops again in an ad for EA Sports that debuted Monday — the same day the U.S. plays its World Cup opener.
Maybe Donovan is spending his newfound free time playing “FIFA,” but we’re sure he’ll be tuning in to watch his countrymen seek revenge on Ghana.
