German midfielder Mesut Ozil fired up some USA soccer fans after confidently declaring his team would beat the Americans in their 2014 FIFA World Cup matchup Thursday.

Ozil, of course, ended up being correct, and he took to Twitter to rub it in after Germany’s 1-0 win in Brazil.

New York Times writer Doug Mills tweeted a photo of President Barack Obama watching the game from Air Force One. The screen in the picture was frozen on a shot of Ozil, so he took it upon himself to make a comment.

President Obama likely was not concerned, as Team USA still advanced to the knockout stage after the loss. He congratulated USA soccer before a town hall in Minneapolis on Thursday.
