Notre Dame Wide Receiver Will Mahone Spits On Cars, Threatens Cops

There are happy drunks and then there are angry drunks.

Notre Dame wide receiver Will Mahone apparently falls in the latter category.

The Austintown Police Department said the junior was “highly intoxicated” when he started punching cars and threatening people on the streets of Austinville, Ohio — 70 miles southeast of Cleveland — on Saturday night.

After being asked by police to calm down, Mahone reportedly shouted, “(Expletive), white boy,” at the officer and resisted arrest. After Mahone was cuffed, the receiver threatened the policemen and shouted, “(Expletive), you white piece of (expletive). Take these cuffs off and I’ll kill you.”

Mahone was subdued several times with a taser.

Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly has indefinitely suspended Mahone from all football-related activities.

The receiver, who only played in two games last year with the Fighting Irish, pleaded not guilty on Monday to the misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
