It’s fair to say the mayors of the two largest cities in the United States have lost their minds.

Right after Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti raised a bottle of beer and cursed at the Kings’ parade, New York mayor Bill de Blasio fulfilled the Stanley Cup bet he lost to Garcetti by singing “I Love L.A.” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Had the New York Rangers won, Garcetti would’ve had to sing Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York.”

So how did de Blasio’s musical rendition of the Randy Newman classic go?

Well, see how awkward it was for yourself.

It’s nice to see de Blasio was a great sport and honored the bet. Let’s just hope that making a fool of himself on national television didn’t hurt his chances for reelection.
