soxThe Boston Red Sox organization is mourning the loss of Jack Lanzillotti, who along with his girlfriend, Jessica Campbell, died tragically in a car accident in Boston’s Back Bay late Saturday night.

Lanzillotti, 28, was the manager of Red Sox productions/game operations, according to a press release from the team, and the Emmy Award winner who produced video and scoreboard content on a daily basis during his seven-year tenure with the club.

“Jack has been an important, respected, and beloved member of our organization for the past seven years,” Red Sox President/CEO Larry Lucchino said. “His poise under pressure and good-humored manner helped us deliver consistently outstanding results. We are all grief-stricken, and we send our deepest sympathies and condolences to Jack’s and Jessica’s families.”

Lanzilloti was walking with his girlfriend near the corner of Beacon and Fairfield streets when a car that had just collided with another one struck them.

“Jack had an encyclopedic knowledge of Red Sox footage,” said John Carter, Director of Red Sox Productions. “We would say, ‘We need a shot of Johnny Pesky hitting a single,’ and he would say, ‘I know right where that is.’  There is no way to describe how much we will miss him — professionally and personally. Our hearts are broken, and we share our sorrow with his family and with Jessica’s family. It’s just incomprehensible.”
