Boston Bruins president Cam Neely is no stranger to being in front of a camera, and he reportedly has returned to the acting game. Whether or not he makes the cut, however, remains to be seen.

Neely filmed a scene for “Dumb And Dumber To,” the sequel to the wildly popular original that was released in 1994, according to the Boston Herald’s Jen Royle. What’s unclear at this point, though, is if Neely’s part will be in the movie when it premieres Nov. 14.

Neely appeared in the first version of the Farrelly Brothers movie alongside Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels as truck-stop tough guy Sea Bass. Neely’s scene is one of the film’s funnier ones, especially for New England sports fans.

The Hockey Hall of Famer hasn’t said much about the sequel and his potential role in it. Reports surfaced early in the production of the movie that Neely and even Bruins forward Milan Lucic would make appearances. Both quickly shot that down, and Neely reiterated that throughout the hockey season. He flat-out denied any role in the movie during his weekly radio appearance on 98.5 The Sports Hub back in November.

However, it appears things changed. In addition to Royle’s report, Neely is listed on the movie’s IMDB page. The racy trailer for the sequel was released Tuesday night, and there was no sign of Neely in the clip.
