v stivianoThe New York Police Department reportedly has arrested one man in connection to the alleged assault of V. Stiviano on Sunday night.

Dominick Diorio, a 40-year-old Long Island native, has been charged with third-degree assault as a hate crime and harassment, police told TMZ on Tuesday.

Stiviano’s lawyer told several media outlets Monday that his client had been jumped by two men outside of the Gansevoort Hotel the previous night. The investigation into the second alleged culprit is ongoing, police told TMZ.

Stiviano first made headlines when she released recordings of Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist remarks, leading to his lifetime ban from the NBA. She was in New York for an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper but canceled after the network instead asked to have Chris Cuomo host the sit-down, according to RadarOnline.
