Roberto Luongo Has Fantastic Reaction To LeBron James’ Cramping

lebron james roberto luongoFirst, a little history lesson about Florida Panthers goalie Roberto Luongo.

Back in 2007, when Luongo was a member of the Vancouver Canucks, he found himself doing battle against the Anaheim Ducks in the Stanley Cup playoffs. On May 3, the Canucks and Ducks were headed for overtime, and Luongo found himself battling some intestinal turmoil.

The two teams took the ice for the extra session, and Luongo was nowhere to be found. He ended up missing 3:34 of the sudden-death frame, and it wasn’t because of an injury. Luongo actually had to go to the bathroom so badly that he missed part of the game — an overtime playoff game, no less.

It’s a memorable story, but it’s a story that (thankfully) didn’t get nearly as much coverage as Miami Heat forward LeBron James’ cramping issues on Thursday night. James missed much of the fourth quarter in the Heat’s Game 1 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

James was ridiculed all over Twitter after the game, but it was Luongo who stole the social media show, as he’s been known to do.
