Soccer Coach Vies For ‘Flop Of The Year’ Award (Video)

With the 2014 FIFA World Cup less than a week away, soccer fans are preparing to see some incredible goals, saves, drama, and, of course, flops.

Players in the planet’s most popular game are notorious for collapsing on the ground after minimal contact to draw a call in their favor. It’s an ugly and ridiculous reality of “The Beautiful Game.” Apparently soccer coaches also are guilty.

During an argument with a referee, this soccer coach is lightly poked in the neck by the official and tumbles to the floor as if he was one of Mike Tyson’s knockout victims in the 1990s.

Who knows? Perhaps the official’s finger has the strength of a Tyson punch.

More realistically, the coach could use a few acting lessons. The flop is so egregious that it’s easy to tell he’s faking it.

Unlike players who flop, this coach has no excuse for his disastrous acting performance. He’s not trying to buy a call to help his team. All he accomplished was getting a video of him making a fool out of himself go viral.
