Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zack Greinke figured the only thing black and yellow that he would have to stare down on Sunday night at Dodger Stadium would be the Pittsburgh Pirates. He soon discovered, though, that something else with the same colors would also be in attendance.

About one hour from the start of the contest, a swarm of bees invaded the left field area of the stadium. Another cloud of bees even surrounded an area near the Dodgers’ dugout, nearly delaying the start of the game.

It was not the first time that a game this season would have to deal with bees, as the Boston Red Sox had some bee problems of their own in spring training.

The bees were cleared out with the help of spray guns containing pesticide and water, which allowed the game to start on time. Maybe the bugs gave the players wearing black and yellow some positive vibes, because the Pirates defeated the Dodgers 5-3. The win gave the Pirates their first series victory at Dodger Stadium in six years.
