Tim TebowNFL teams have made it fairly clear over the last nine months that they haveĀ better options at quarterback than Tim Tebow.

ButĀ that doesn’t mean Tebow has given up on his NFL dream.

The 26-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner reiterated his desire to continue his playing career during a speaking engagement at the Music City Sports Festival in Nashville, Tenn., over the weekend.

“I’m training every day and feel like I’m the best that I’ve ever been,” Tebow said, via The Tennessean. “I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I’m just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I’m excited about it, though.”

Tebow’s last taste of the NFL cameĀ in the summer of 2013, when the New England Patriots signed him before the start of training camp on June 11. He was released on August 31.

The former Florida Gators star has stayed plenty busy during his football hiatus, signing on with ESPN to be an analyst on the recently formed SEC Network this season. TebowĀ has also appeared on “Good Morning America” and has been offered a role on a VH1 reality show, but has insisted at every turn that returning to the NFL is his primary goal.

If only other NFL teams felt the same way.
