As a proud American citizen, Tom Brady wouldn’t normally join his wife, Gisele Bundchen, in cheering for Brazil. But since Brazil played Chile — and not the U.S. —  on Saturday, the New England Patriots quarterback decided to support the cause, gaining a few brownie points at home in the process.

Here’s what Bundchen posted on her Instagram account Saturday after Brazil, the host of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, advanced past the Round of 16 after defeating Chile in penalty kicks. It’s a photo of the happy couple and their two kids during the final thrilling moments of the game, complete with the exultant caption, “yeah!!!!!!”

Brady doesn’t look as thrilled as his wife, but at least he wore the right colors in support of her. What a guy.

If Brazil and the U.S. end up meeting in the World Cup it will have to be in the finals. We’re convinced that someone’s sleeping on the couch if that happens.
