USA’s 2014 FIFA World Cup game against Germany on Thursday will decide whether the U.S. advances to the knockout round. Unfortunately, it airs at 12 p.m. ET, meaning most of us will be at work.
But U.S. Soccer has you covered.
They tweeted out a permission slip Wednesday for fans to skip work to watch the game. It’s even signed by coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

Klinsmann himself endorsed the excuse, tweeting it out with the caption “And don’t forget to wear your jersey!! #businessattire.”
While we don’t necessarily recommend this method, we won’t be surprised if a record number of people around the country call “sick” to work.
