Hundreds of the area’s biggest soccer fans turned Lansdowne Street into Brazil for one night, as the New England Revolution hosted a special World Cup Watch Party for the U.S.-Portugal game at the House of Blues Boston. New England Revolution players and various VIPs cheered on USA as the match was shown on a large screen on the House of Blues stage.

Admission to the event was free and almost reached capacity with more than 1,700 people in attendance.

A raffle/silent auction featuring signed merchandise from around the soccer world was held at the event, with all proceeds benefiting AmericaSCORES Boston, which uses youth development programming based around soccer, academics and the arts to inspire Boston youth to lead healthy lives, be engaged students, and have the confidence and character to make a difference in the world.

The Revs are hosting various World Cup viewing parties throughout New England all week, including USA-Germany on Thursday at noon in both Portsmouth, NH and Boston. For more information, click here.
