Aaron Hernandez Court AppearanceFALL RIVER, Mass. — Lawyers for Aaron Hernandez are due in court on their request for a subpoena to compel the New England Patriots to hand over Hernandez’s medical and other records.

Hernandez’s attorneys said last month the records are potentially relevant to the ex-NFL player’s circumstances and state of mind and are critical to preparations for his murder trial.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at Fall River Justice Center.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to murder in the 2013 shooting death of Odin Lloyd, a semi-professional football player who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee. Two of his associates have also been charged with murder.

Hernandez has also pleaded not guilty in a second case in which he is charged with killing two men in Boston in 2012. He’s being held without bail.
