Australian rules football is a rough sport, but even it frowns upon what Tyrone Vickery did on Friday.

Vickery, who plays for the Richmond Tigers of the Australian Football League, was jostling for position with West Coast’s Dean Cox when he decided to take Cox out with a straight shot to the jaw.

Cox, as you can see from the video, went down like a sack of bricks and needed to be helped off the field by medical personnel. Vickery likely has a multi-week suspension coming his way, and Cox might be staring at the end of his Aussie rules career.

The 33-year-old announced last week his plans to retire at the end of this season.
