Eugenie Bouchard has friends in high places.
Jim Parsons, who portrays Sheldon Cooper in the CBS hit sitcom “The Big Bang Theory,” is an avid fan of the 20-year-old Canadian tennis star. He even was in the Centre Court stands with Bouchard’s family on Thursday for her Wimbledon semifinal win over Simona Halep.
Parsons attended Tuesday and Wednesday’s matches, too, and also posed for a selfie with Bouchard.

So, how did the television star befriend Bouchard?
“(Bouchard) played her first professional Wimbledon last year, and her manager contacted my manager, and apparently she watches ‘Big Bang,’ and he knew I was a fan of tennis and he said, ‘Is there any chance Jim could come to Wimbledon? He could sit in the players’ box with us,’ ” Parsons said in an ESPN interview.
But Parsons isn’t the only celebrity linked to Bouchard. Back in January, Bouchard said she’d love to go on a date with fellow Canadian Justin Bieber. Bouchard expressed during Wimbledon that she hopes Biebs has been watching her recent success.
“I hope so,” Bouchard said, via The Associated Press. “I’m putting in so much hard work. I want to see this hard work rewarded.”
