Red Sox Strand Nine Baserunners In Loss To Houston Astros (Video)

The Boston Red Sox offense came up short again.

Despite Jake Peavy’s stellar seven-inning effort, the Red Sox fell 3-2 to the Houston Astros on Saturday.

Boston was not without its chances, however, as the team left nine runners on base. Their season total now sits at 695 men left on base — third-most in all the MLB. Catcher David Ross said the team’s offensive issues are not from a lack of trying.

“Well, we all try to get hits,” Ross said after the game. “Every time up there we try to get hits and drive in runs. I mean, that’s all we can do.”

Check out the rest of what Ross had to say in the video above.
