Young, the 17th overall pick in last month’s NBA draft, didn’t play in Monday’s summer league game against the Indiana Pacers, which the Celtics lost 96-77.

Second-year forward Kelly Olynyk led the way with 15 points and was one of five Celtics players to score in double digits. At one point, the Pacers went on a 32-6 run.

“We’ve got talented players. … Shots are going to fall some nights and not fall other nights,” rookie guard Marcus Smart, the Celtics’ No. 6 pick, said after Monday’s loss. “Tonight they just didn’t fall.”

The Celtics will resume summer league action Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons.
