In case you haven’t heard, the Chicago Bulls really want Carmelo Anthony.

The Bulls have been a top target of the star forward ever since he opted out of his contract with the New York Knicks on June 23.

After speaking with a “high-profile person” in Chicago about what a potential move to the Windy City would be like, Anthony reportedly traveled to Chicago on Tuesday to meet with the Bulls brass.

Not only was Melo’s trip to Chicago a big enough deal for reporters to follow him around with cameras, the rest of the city wasn’t shy either about showing its support for the prized free agent.

If you were an innocent tourist passing through Chicago, you might think Anthony already was on the Bulls and had just helped them win an NBA championship.

Unfortunately for Chicago fans, that’s not the case. The 30-year-old has a meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday and could very possibly re-sign with the Knicks as well.

Hey, it doesn’t hurt to try.
