Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer is quite the hypocrite.
Archer has criticized David Ortiz in recent days for showboating, as the Boston Red Sox slugger capped a three-run home run Sunday with an emphatic bat flip and a slow trot around the bases. But, as history shows, Archer isn’t exactly above showboating. In fact, he’s quite the ham.
In the words of Randy “Macho Man” Savage, Archer did a little hot-dogging and grandstanding against the Red Sox last June after striking out Daniel Nava with the bases loaded in the fourth inning of a game at Tropicana Field.
Come to think of it, the Savage reference is rather appropriate given that Archer kissed his bicep amid his Oscar-worthy performance.
