Christian Vazquez Back In Red Sox Lineup Vs. Astros; Jackie Bradley Jr. Batting Sixth

After coming to life in an 8-3 win over the Houston Astros on Friday, the Boston Red Sox offense left nine men on base Saturday en route to a 3-2 loss.

Rookie catcher Christian Vazquez was a big reason for Boston’s success on Friday, and he will be back in the lineup batting ninth and catching for the team’s series finale on Sunday.

Also returning to the lineup is shortstop Stephen Drew, who will bat eighth after sitting out Saturday’s contest. Brock Holt will shift back to right field and bat leadoff, while Daniel Nava will get the start in left field batting fifth.

Jackie Bradley Jr. will get a promotion in the batting order on Sunday, as he’ll bat sixth for the second time in three games.

Clay Buchholz gets the start on the mound for the Sox, hoping to pick up his second win since returning from the disabled list in late June.
