Ever heard the joke about the Washington Redskins keeping their nickname but changing their logo to a potato?

Of course you have. Everyone has.

Jacob Close apparently still thinks that joke is funny, and because of it, he’s now sitting in jail.

Close, a student at Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, had his name and photo printed last week in the local newspaper, the Press Enterprise, along with said joke.

Close, however, has been a wanted fugitive for several years since he skipped bail on a drug and drunken-driving case in Ithaca, N.Y. A campus police officer recognized the 25-year-old, according to the same newspaper, and he was arrested shortly thereafter.

As of Monday, Close was being held on $25,000 bail and awaiting extradition to New York, according to The Associated Press.
