LeBron James CavsWhen LeBron James decided to take his talents back home to Cleveland to play with the Cavaliers, it made the folks at Elite Daily wonder what every team’s starting five would look like if all NBA players followed suit and went back to their hometown to play basketball.

The results were quite interesting.

For starters, the Boston Celtics wouldn’t be chasing titles this year with their hometown players, but at least they’d have a shot of having a bright future. Nerlens Noel (Everett, Mass.), Noah Vonleh (Haverhill, Mass.) and Michael Carter-Williams (Hamilton, Mass.) highlight the team while Ryan Gomes (Waterbury, Conn.) would make a return to Boston. Ricky Ledo (Providence, R.I.) rounds out the starting five.

LeBron James most likely wouldn’t be happy with his supporting cast with the Cavaliers, because the Ohio natives lack starpower. Kosta Koufos, Jared Sullinger, Trey Burke and Kevin Martin have the thrill to go title-chasing with the King.

The Washington Wizards are NBA title favorites in this scenario with Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony teamed up alongside Roy Hibbert, Ty Lawson and Rudy Gay.

A couple of other teams that would look particularly powerful are the Charlotte Hornets and the Chicago Bulls.

The Hornets feature Chris Paul, Stephen Curry and John Wall. That’s one fast and exciting back court.

Meanwhile, Dwyane Wade, Jabari Parker, Derrick Rose and Anthony Davis are Chicago natives that would play for the Bulls in this world.

Interestingly enough, Utah, Denver and San Antonio wouldn’t feature any teams because there aren’t enough NBA players from those regions to comprise a five-man roster.
