Fred Davis Arrested For Assault After Throwing Dirt, Flowers At Ex-Girlfriend

NFL: Washington Redskins at Oakland RaidersFred Davis is in trouble with the law again.

The free agent tight end was arrested for assault Thursday stemming from an incident that took place on June 2. He was charged with a DUI back in February.

According to a police report, Davis started an altercation with an ex-girlfriend in a Washington, D.C. restaurant. The ex, who was out to dinner with a male companion, said that shortly after arriving, Davis came up behind her and “placed his hands on her shoulder, turned her around approximately 180 degrees so her backside was facing (her friend), at which time (Davis) stated to (the friend) ‘Why you with her, she doesn’t have an ass.'”

The ex went outside, and Davis followed her and threw dirt and flowers from a hanging plant at her. She said she went back inside to get a ketchup bottle to squirt at Davis but was stopped. The argument continued when she went outside, at which point Davis threatened to harm her saying, “I’m gonna slap you ’cause you fakin’. Your friend looks like 2 Chainz.”

TMZ reports that Davis was charged with simple assault and attempted threats to do bodily harm. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on his own recognizance.
