Neymar is out of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but he still has his winning spirit.

The 22-year-old Brazil star went down with a broken vertebra toward the end of his team’s 2-1 quarterfinal victory over Colombia on Friday. Neymar released a video via the Brazilian Soccer Federation on Saturday, and though his eyes were full of tears, he still had a positive message for his fan and his teammates.

“My dream isn’t over. It was interrupted by a play, but it continues,” Neymar said, as reported by The Guardian. “I’m certain that my teammates will do everything possible so that my dream, which is to be a champion, comes true. My dream was also to play in a World Cup final, but this time it didn’t work out. I am sure they will win this cup and be champions, and I will be with them, and all Brazilians will soon be celebrating all of that.

“It’s a very difficult moment, I have no words to translate what is going through my head and my heart, I’d just like to say I will be back as quickly as possible, when you least expect it, I’ll be back.”

The legend of Neymar has been fueling Brazil for years before this World Cup, and although the star and his nation are essentially in mourning over his injury, the young forward’s words ring true. He will be back.
