Joel Embiid knows how to cause a stir on Twitter, as he spent his summer after being drafted third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers hopelessly trying to recruit LeBron James to the City of Brotherly Love.
Embiid is at it again, but this time he’s not directing his tweets toward a fellow athlete. He was tweeting at Kim Kardashian instead Wednesday, and apparently didn’t know that she was married to Kanye West.

But fear not, 76ers fans, Embiid insisted in a tweet that he’s focused on basketball. This is good news, as he’s expected to miss five to eight months after having foot surgery on June 20.
He did, however, change his Twitter avatar to a split-screen photo of Kardashian and himself Friday, which his mother wasn’t too fond of.

Embiid has since changed his avatar back to a picture of just himself, which hopefully means he’s done causing controversy.
