MLB Trade Tracker: Lester, Price Among Big Names Moved Ahead Of Deadline

jlThe MLB trade drama lived up to the hype this season, with a flurry of moves being made throughout the day on Thursday, and in the days leading up to the July 31 trade deadline. The Boston Red Sox in particular have been at the center of things, announcing a monster deal with the Oakland  that sent Jon Lester and Jonny Gomes to the Athletics in exchange for Yoenis Cespedes. While Lester and Gomes were reluctant to leave Boston, pitcher Felix Doubront had no problem leaving town as he took his talents to the Chicago Cubs. But the Lester-Gomes-Cespedes blockbuster isn’t the only trade making headlines. There were more deals that were struck that saw star players depart for fresh starts in new cities.
