The 2014 FIFA World Cup game between USA and Belgium on Tuesday was a nail-biter.

The U.S., who last made it out of the Round of 16 in 2002, was playing better soccer than it had in the group stage. The Americans were able to hold Belgium scoreless and send the game into extra time, thanks to an incredible performance by goalkeeper Tim Howard.

However, things looked bleak when Belgium scored twice in the first half of extra time.

But one minute into the second half of extra time, 19-year-old Julian Green gave USA hope in his World Cup debut. The Bayern Munich winger cut Belgium’s lead in half with this beautiful goal off of a chipped pass from Michael Bradley.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to get the U.S. rolling, and their World Cup dreams ended with a 2-1 loss.
