Uehara will join left-handed starter Jon Lester at Target Field on July 15.

The closer has recorded 18 saves this season, compiling a 4-2 record with a 1.30 ERA. The 39-year-old has racked up 52 strikeouts while giving up only six walks over 41 2/3 innings.

This marks the first All-Star selection for Uehara.
