Lamar Odom has seen better days. In fact, this probably will go down as one of his worst.

Odom was waived by the New York Knicks on Friday. He never played a game with the team, which signed him late last season after Phil Jackson was hired as president of basketball operations.

Jackson coached Odom for six seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. They won two NBA championships together.

The release comes on the same day that Odom’s estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, claimed he cheated on her while they were married. Kardashian filed for divorce in December, though Odom has yet to sign the papers.

Odom, 34, last played in the NBA during the 2012-13 season for the Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged just 4.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game that season.
