It could be argued that everyone who takes a selfie deserves a yellow card, but only Sporting Kansas City forward Dom Dwyer can say he earned one for doing just that.

Dwyer was understandably pumped after scoring in the 33rd minute against the Chicago Fire on Sunday to give KC a 1-0 lead, so he decided to celebrate his 12th goal of the season in a big way. Immediately after his tally, the forward ran over to a group of fans, grabbed a cell phone from a nearby cameraman and proceeded to take a somewhat epic selfie.

While the fans clearly loved the move, the refs were not as amused as they were quick to give Dwyer a yellow card for his post-goal celebration.

Given the look of pure joy on Dwyer and teammate Soony Saad’s faces, something tells us he doesn’t regret his decision, though.
